5 per class, each with an adult in water. Playfully builds confidence of 12-36 month-old swimmers who learn to safely jump into our warm-water pool to a parent, hold breath for 8-10 seconds, depth awareness, back floating with songs and games.
3 per class, each with an adult on-deck in swimwear. For nearly-three year-old swimmers, transitioning from parent/child classes or nervous beginners. They work on swimming five feet unassisted, floating, and safely jumping into our warm-water pool.
3 per class. New and beginning 3 to 4 year-old swimmers learn to relax in the pool, swim five feet on their own, jump safely from the side of the pool, float comfortably on their back.
4 per class. 3 to 4 year-old swimmers, who can already comfortably swim five feet on their own, will learn to swim freestyle up to ten feet, while continuing to build confidence in the water.
4 per class. 3 to 4 year-old swimmers, who can already comfortably swim ten feet freestyle, will learn to swim the full length of the pool freestyle and backstroke, while improving strength and technique.
4 per class. Beginning school-age swimmers learn a relaxed, effective stroke on front and back for 25 feet.
4 per class. School-age swimmers, who can already swim 25 feet unassisted on their front and back, improve strength, technique and confidence. Their distance increases to the length of the pool.
4 per class. School-age swimmers, who can already swim the length of the pool freestyle and backstroke, increase strength and distance to two lengths of the pool, and also learn breastroke and dolphin kicks.
4 per class. Advanced school-age swimmers who can effortlessly swim two lengths of the pool increase distance and strength while practicing breastroke and butterfly technique.
4 per class. Beginning swimmers who are 8+ learn a safe, relaxed, effective stroke. They work, with friends, towards swimming two pool lengths, freestyle and backstroke.
4 per class. Swimmers, who are 8+ and can already swim two lengths of the pool freestyle and backstroke, will increase distance and strength. They add breaststroke and dolphin kicks to their repertoire, while learning proper form and technique.
4 per class. Swimmers, who are 8+ and can comfortably swim four pool lengths freestyle and backstroke, as well as two pool lengths breaststroke and dolphin kicks, will master all four competitive strokes and learn turns and starts as they prepare for competitive swimming.
4 per class. Swimmers who can already swim 4 lengths of each stroke (butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke, freestyle) focus on technique and endurance. This is the perfect place to prepare for swim team!
Welcome to your first club experience! Exclusively for athletes who can already swim 4 lengths of each stroke, we work on new drills, starts, turns, how to read a pace clock, while making new friends. Riptide Prep athletes have opportunities to compete in novice swim meets when they feel ready, and they can even earn advanced placement onto Riptide Swim Team.
